implement)raiseandlowerproblem.Thistestdeterminesiftheliftcylinder
isdamaged.
Note:Theraise/lowercircuitoperationcanbeaffectedbytheliftcylinder
binding,extraweightonthecuttingdeck(orimplement),and/orbindingofthe
liftcomponents.Ensurethattheseitemsarecheckedbeforecontinuingwith
theliftcylinderinternalleakagetest.
TestProcedure
1.ParkthemachineonalevelsurfacewiththePTOswitchoff.Positionthe
cuttingdeck(orimplement)inapartiallyraisedpositionandshutoffthe
engine.Settheparkingbrake.

2.Underbothsidesofthecuttingdeck(orimplement),useajacktoraisethe
cuttingdeck(orimplement)slightly.Thisremovestheloadfromthelift
cylinderandreleasestheliftcylinderhydraulicpressure.
3.Supportbothsidesofthecuttingdeck(orimplement)withjackstandsto
preventtheliftcylinderfromretracting.
4.Cleantheareaaroundthehydraulichoseendatthebarrelendofthelift
cylinder.Disconnectthehydraulichosefromtheliftcylinderbarrelendtting
(Figure51).
IMPORTANT
Whencappingtheliftcylinderttingandhydraulichoseend,use
asteelcapandplugtoensurethatthereisnouidleakage.The
plasticplugscannotholdthehydraulicpressurethatisdeveloped
duringthistestprocedure.
5.Installasteelcapontheopenliftcylinderttingtosealtheliftcylinder.Also,
installasteelplugintheopenendofthedisconnectedhosetoprevent
leakageorcontamination.
