RemovingthePolarTracHydraulicControlValve
WARNING
Beforedisconnectingordoinganyworkonthehydraulicsystem,
releaseallthepressureinthesystem;refertoReleasingPressure
fromtheHydraulicSystem(page4–11).
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowertheimplement,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Cleanthehydraulichoseendsandttingsonthecontrolvalvetoprevent
contaminantsfromenteringintothehydraulicsystem.
3.Forassemblypurposes,labelallthehydraulichosesandttings.

4.Disconnectthehydraulichosesthatareconnectedtothehydraulicttingson
thecontrolvalve.Allowthehosestodrainintoasuitablecontainer.
5.Installcleancapsorplugsinthehoseopeningstopreventsystem

6.Removethe2hairpinsthatattachthelevervalvelinkstothecontrolvalve
spools(Figure125).Slidethelinksfromthespools.
7.Supportthecontrolvalvetopreventitfromfallingduringremoval.
8.Removethe2carriagescrews(item43inFigure124)and2angenuts
thatattachthecontrolvalvetothemachine,andremovethecontrolvalve
fromthemachine.
9.Ifnecessary,removethehydraulicttingsfromthecontrolvalve.Notethe
orientationofthettingsforassemblypurposes.
10.RemoveanddiscardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
InstallingthePolarTracHydraulicControlValve
1.Ifthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromthecontrolvalve,lubricateand
installnewO-ringstothettings.Installthettingsintothevalveports;refer
toInstallingtheHydraulicFittings(SAEStraightThreadO-RingFittinginto
theComponentPort)(page4–7).Usethenotesthatyourecordedduring
removaltoorientatethettings.
