1.EnsurethatthekeyswitchandallaccessoriesareintheOFFposition.
2.Ensurethatthebatterycompartmentiscleanandpaintitifnecessary.Place
thebatterytrayinposition.
3.Ensurethatallthebatterycables,batteryretainer,andelectricalconnections
areingoodcondition.
4.Placethebatteryinitscompartment.Ensurethatthebatteryislevelandat.
Connectthepositive(+)cableconnectorontothepositive(+)batterypost.
Use2wrenchestoattachthecableboltandlocknut.
5.Attachthebatteryretainerwiththeatwasherandangenut.
Note:Donotovertightenthenuttopreventcrackingordistortingthebattery
case.
6.Connectadigitalmultimeter(settoA)betweenthenegative(-)batterypost
andthenegative(-)cableconnector.Ensurethatthereadingislessthan
0.1A.Areadingofmorethan0.1Ausuallyindicatesadamagedswitch,a
shortedcircuit,orgroundedwire.Identifyandrepairtheelectricalfaults
beforereturningthemachinetoservice.
7.Connectthenegative(-)cableconnectortothenegative(-)batterypost.Use
the2wrenchestoattachthecableboltandlocknut.
8.Afteryoumaketheconnections,applybatteryterminalprotector(ToroPart
No.107-0392)oralightlayerofgreaseonallthebatterypostsandcable
connectorstoreducecorrosion.
