•Disconnectthepositiveeyeterminal(item3inFigure18)attheclampfor
thepositivebatterycable.
•Disconnectthenegativeeyeterminal(item1inFigure18)attheclampfor
thenegativebatterycable.
•Disconnectthesocketconnector(item5inFigure18)oftheterminal
receptacleatthecoolant-temperaturesenderoftheenginewireharness.
•DisconnecttheGlow,Start,andEGRRelays(items1,2,and3inFigure
20).
9.Disconnectthefuelsupplyhose(item4inFigure19)andreturnhosefrom
thefuellter.
10.Coverorplugthefuelhosesandfuellterttingsopeningstoprevent
contamination.
Note:Whenliftingtheengineusingthefollowingprocedure,theywheel
housingandtransmissionwillremaininthemachine.
CAUTION
Theengineisveryheavy,andahoistnotratedfortheweightofthe
enginemayfail,causingpossibleinjuryanddamagetotheengine.
Usehoistequipmentratedtolifttheengine,whichisapproximately
188kg(414lb).
IMPORTANT
DonotlifttheenginewiththelifteyesontheDPF.
11.Attachasuitableliftorhoisttothelifttabsonthefrontandrearoftheengine.
Supporttheenginewithliftorhoisttopreventtheenginefromshiftingor
moving.
12.Removethe2screws(item18inFigure16)and2lockwashersthatsecure
theguidebrackettotheywheelhousing.
