4 Replacement Procedures 4.36 Fluorescent Lamp
4.36.1 Replacing the 17.1-inch LG.Philips Fluorescent lamp
CAUTION: When you replace the fluorescent lamp, wear finger covers or gloves to
avoid contaminating or damaging the LCD module. Be careful not to let
dust or other foreign substances into the LCD module.
Disassembling the 17.1-inch LG.Philips Fluorescent lamp
To disassemble the 17.1-inch LG.Philips fluorescent lamp, follow the steps below and refer
to Figures 4-52 to 4-55.
1. Remove the tape and cover shield.
1) Remove the adhesive tape (1) fixing the B/L cable. Be careful not to apply
excessive force to the B/L cable.
2) Remove the adhesive tape (2) and tape shield fixing the bezel. Be careful not
to apply excessive force to the bezel.
3) Remove the cover shield (G). Be careful not to apply excessive force to the
gate driver IC.
4) Remove the cover shield (S). Be careful not to apply excessive force to the
source driver PCB.
CAUTION: Wear anti-static gloves to prevent circuit damage caused by ESC.
