3. Remove retaining ring and then remove gear (C),
account for bearing and washer. Inspect the gear
teeth for nicks, cracks, chips, or signs of wear. If any
are present, the gear must be replaced.

4. Remove bearing (D), and then remove retaining ring
and gear (E), account for roller bearing and washers.
Inspect the gear teeth for nicks, cracks, chips, or
signs of wear. If any are present, the gear must be
replaced.

5. Remove retaining ring and remove engagement dog
(F) Inspect the dogs for nicks, cracks, chips, or signs
of wear. If any are present, the dog must be replaced.

6. Remove retaining ring and gear (G), account for
washer and roller bearing. Inspect the gear teeth for
nicks, cracks, chips, or signs of wear. If any are pres-
ent, the gear must be replaced.

7. Inspect the shaft (H) and gear teeth for nicks, cracks,
chips, or signs of wear. If any are present, the shaft
must be replaced.
