4.4.2.3 Desired temperatures
Each of the set temperatures is a "target val-
ue". A wide variety of external influences de-
termine whether the selected temperatures for
the zones in the control room will be reached.

A zone is defined as an area with its own target room temperatures and time pro-
grammes that is assigned to a heating circuit. The settings are configured in the end
customer level. Parameters relating to the flow temperature are mainly set in the heat-
ing circuit. The settings are configured in the installer level.
It is currently possible to build a system that has either one heating circuit with one
zone, one heating circuit with two zones (aroTHERM only), and two or three heating
circuits with one zone each. The relevant parameters can be found in the system con-
figuration section of the installer level under "Heating circuit 1/2/3" and "Zone 1/2/3".
