4.5.7.10 Basic buffer cylinder management
The VR 70 = 1 or VR 71 setting allows basic buffer cylinder management to be run with
up to two temperature sensors (top, bottom). This can be used with both temperature
sensors, for example for installations in which the heat generator requires a buffer cyl-
inder for running-time optimisation, such as for heat pumps. Another example of use is
for systems in which, for example, only one solid fuel boiler (even a non-Vaillant unit)
and the buffer cylinder manager are used to store heat energy in order to avoid having
to activate the fossil fuel boiler.
Buffer cylinder management only works with system diagrams 1 and 8 13.

The VR 70 = 3 setting allows a basic allSTOR system to be controlled so that it func-
tions in the same way as the part of the allSTOR that assists heating as described pre-
viously under "Basic buffer cylinder management". The following parameters are
