Frost protection delay
Delays switching on heating mode; relevant in Automatic mode with "Eco" or "Set-
back" energy-saving options
OT constant heating
Lowest outside temperature, from which continuous heating is activated. The non-
programmed times are given the target room temperature for the subsequent heating
time.
1st example:
Outside temperature > OT constant heating
2nd example:
Outside temperature < OT constant heating
Example for OT constant heating
DIN EN 12831 Sections 7.3 and 9.2.2 states that supplementary heating can
be decreased when designing the heat generator.
"…Additional heating capacity is, however, not required if the system ensures
that this reduction does not take place on the coldest days…". This is why the
"OT constant heating" function is often requested by planning offices.
