3 Mechanical Installation
This chapter briefly introduces the mechanical installation of the UPS, including the precautions, initial inspection before
installation, environmental requirement, mechanical requirement and installation diagram.
3.1 Precautions
This chapter describes the environmental and mechanical requirements and mechanical considerations that must be taken
into account when planning the positioning and cabling of the UPS equipment.
Because each site has its particular characteristics, this chapter does not provide the detailed installation steps, it only acts as
a guide for the general procedures and practices that should be observed by the installing engineer, so that they can properly
handle the specific situation of the site.
W A RN IN G! Professional installation required
1. Do not disassem ble the package w ithout perm ission of authorized service engin eer.
2. T h e UPS sho uld be installed b y an authorized eng ineer in accordance w ith the inform ation
contained in this chapter.
W A RN IN G! The U PS can be connected to IT , TN and T T AC distrib ution system s (IEC60 364-
3), and m ust be of 3-phase 5-w ire (A, B, C , N , PE) sy stem .
W A RN IN G! Battery danger
Take special care w hen in stalling batteries. W hen connecting batteries, the battery term inal
voltage w ill reach 320Vdc, which is fatal to hum an being .
1. Please wear safety glasses to protect the eyes from being d am aged by electrical arc flash.
2. R em ove all the metal item s, including finger rings, w atch, etc.
3. U se tools w ith insulated handle.
4. W ear rubber gloves.
5. If th e battery has electrolyte leakage or the battery is d am aged, it m ust be rep laced. P lace
the battery into the container that can w ithstand sulfuric acid and disp ose of according to the
