How do I control the chart display?
How do I measure visual acuity?
➢ Select an acuity test.
The acuity value is in front of each line of optotypes.
Modify the acuity
➢ Use up/down arrows of VA on the screen (#11 in paragraph Examination interface: Chart
display control page 39).
- Or -
➢ In case of use of keyboard, use the keypad VA up/down arrows (#1/#2 in paragraph Use
of keyboard (optional)/ Control the chart display page 51).
Adjust the contrast
➢ Use up/down arrows of Contrast on the screen (#10 in paragraph Examination interface:
Chart display control page 39).

➢ In case of use of keyboard, use the keypad Contrast up/down arrows (#3/#4 in paragraph
Use of keyboard (optional)/ Control the chart display page 51).
Redistribute the optotypes
To avoid patient memorization of the displayed optotypes, a redistribution function is
provided:
➢ Use Change button on the screen (#7 in paragraph Examination interface: Chart display
control page 39).

➢ In case of use of keyboard, use the keypad Change button (#5 in paragraph Use of
keyboard (optional)/ Control the chart display page 51).
How do I modify optotype masks?
➢ Refer to the table presented in Examination interface: Chart display control page 39 to
select how you wish to organize the optotypes.
