Pinch Roller Assembly
The Pinch Roller Assembly is normally pressed against the direction of the Takeaway Roller by the
spring pressure. Documents are fed through between the Pinch Rollers and the Takeaway Roller to the
CVT Window by the rotation of the Takeaway Roller.
If a jam occurs between the Pinch Roller Assembly and the Takeaway Roller, it is hard to retrieve
documents due to the high spring pressure of Pinch Roller Assembly. In order to retrieve jammed
documents, open the DADF Cover Assembly to release the spring pressure, and make enough clearance
between the Pinch Rollers and the Takeaway Roller.
