Check:
Fuel tank filter
Damage Replace.
Dirt/clog Clean.
TIP
Clean the fuel tank filter with clean gasoline, and then dry
it thoroughly.
3.
Install:
Fuel tank filter
Fuel tank cap
FUEL COCK STRAINER
1.
Turn the fuel cock lever to the “OFF” position.
2.
Remove:
Strainer cup “1”
•Gasket2
Fuel cock strainer “3”
3.
Check:
Fuel cock strainer
Damage Re
place.
Dirt/clog Clean
.
TIP
Clean the fuel cock strainer with clean gasoline, and then
dry it thoroughly.
4.
Install:
Fuel cock strainer
•Gasket
Strainer cup
Make sure that the fuel tank cap is tightened securely.
Do not smoke, and keep away from open flames,
spa
rks, or any other source of fire when handling or in
the vicinity of fuel.

Strainer cup:
1.3 N·m (0.13 kgf·m, 0.95 lb·ft)
Make sure that the strainer cup is tightened securely.
