Changing Control Memory Battery Backu p
Type: Lithium Battery.
The article number of the battery is 4944 026-5
The batteries (two) are located on the right side of the computer rack (see Fig-
ure 12).
WARNING! Do not charge the batteries! An explosion could re-
sult or the cells could overheat. Do not open, puncture, crush,
or otherwise mutilate the batteries; an explosion could occur
and toxic, corrosive, and inflammable liquide could be exposed.
Do not short negative and positive terminals together because
cells could overheat. Do not burn or dispose of batteries in nor-
mal trash collection; batteries should be collected for disposal
in a proper and safe way for disposing of lithium batteries.
Store the parameters and the program on a diskette, in order not to lose
important information from the memory.
Turn the main electrical disconnect switch OFF.
Unplug the battery connectors from the backplane.
Remove the battery by cutting the tie wraps.
Insert the new battery and fasten using new tie wraps.
Plug the battery connectors to the backplane.
Turn the main electrical disconnect switch ON.
Load the parameters and program from the diskette.
