4. MOUNT MOTOR MOUNTING PLATE (S37):
a. Lightly grease O-Ring (S36) with lubricating grease (S74).
Position O-Ring in place.
b. Slip motor mounting plate onto guide pins and into mounted
position. Orient so that the two magnetic plugs (S40) are in a
horizontal position.
c. Lubricate all screws (S31) and washers (S30) with Molycote 1000
grease.
d. Insert screws (S31) with washers (S30) into motor mounting
plate, removing the two guide pins for last two screws. Torque to
90 ft-lb.
NOTE: Pinion is matched to the gear reduction
unit. If a new motor is going to be installed,
mount the old pinion on the new motor shaft.
If a new gear reduction unit is going to be
installed, mount the new pinion that comes
with it on the motor shaft
5. INSTALL MOTOR as outlined on page 6 - 3.
6. GREASE GEAR REDUCTION UNIT (S35) as outlined in Section 4.
7. CALIBRATE AXIS as outlined in Section 11.
