Loading the
SpectroCHIP Arrays
SpectroCHIP Arrays are placed in a standard SCOUT plate.
To load SpectroCHIP Arrays:
1. If the SCOUT plate is on the processing deck, remove it by pulling the spring-loaded
positioners away from the plate, then lifting the plate off the deck.

2. Orient the SCOUT plate so that the beveled corners are at the right (Figure 2.38).
3. Insert the SpectroCHIP Arrays into the SCOUT plate positions that were specified
earlier (see page 34). Orient the SpectroCHIP Arrays so that the Agena Bioscience
logo is at the bottom (Figure 2.38).
CAUTION
!
Do not touch the SpectroCHIP Array surface. Handle a SpectroCHIP Array only by the edges. It is
strongly recommended that you use tweezers to handle the SpectroCHIP Arrays.
4. Make sure each SpectroCHIP Array is seated flat in its position and flush with the
lower-left corner.
