4.3 Pin soak
It is recommended that the pins be left submerged in the wash solution whenever the
instrument is not in use. This keeps the pins wet and aids in dispensing accuracy. The pin
soak must be manually performed by the operator.
To soak the pins:
1. Go to the Maintenance screen (tap the Back button on any screen and tap the
MAINTENANCE button on the Main Menu).
2. Tap CLEAN DAILY on the Maintenance screen (Figure 4.1).
The pins are immersed in the wash solution.
3. In the daily pin cleaning dialog that appears, tap SOAK.
The timer stops counting down, allowing the pins to remain in the wash station.
Tapping the SOAK button again will cause the timer to continue the countdown;
tapping the CANCEL button aborts the cleaning operation.
