Chapter 2 Dispensing to SpectroCHIP Arrays 35
USG-CUS-059 Rev05MassARRAY® Nanodispenser RS1000 v2.1 User Guide
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
Enable sample tracking
When sample tracking is enabled, the microtiter plate and SpectroCHIP Array barcodes
are scanned and information about how the sample plate wells are mapped to the
SpectroCHIP Array pads is sent to the database (MassARRAY Transfer Server; see Figure
2.19). Note that sample tracking requires a barcoded microtiter plate.
To enable sample tracking, check the Enable box under Sample Tracking (see Figure
2.20).
NOTENOTE
If sample tracking is enabled, make sure an active network cable is connected to the
Nanodispenser RS1000 ethernet port (see Figure 1.3, page 6 for the location of the port) so that
the sample tracking information can be sent to the MassARRAY
Transfer Server.
Enable auto tuning
With auto tuning, the Nanodispenser RS1000 uses the integrated camera to measure the
volume of each dispense and then automatically adjusts dispense speed during the run
to achieve the desired volume level set in the target volume field.
It is recommend to use auto tuning with all dispensing runs. However, if you wish to
manually adjust volume during a run, you may do so; see Appendix B for directions.
