Only connect the quick-disconnect fitting to the Waste port. Do not insert the open end of the
waste tubing into the port.

WARNING! The waste water may contain ethanol and residual DNA sample. Dispose of it
properly as required by local regulations
C.4 Manually priming the water supply system
After filling an external supply tank or manually filling the internal supply tank, the supply
system must be primed to purge air bubbles from the tubing.
NOTE
During this procedure you are exposed to water from the rinse station. Water expelled from the
rinse station is normally fresh water. However, it is recommended that you wear laboratory gloves
as the water may contain low residual levels of ethanol from a previous system cleaning and flush.
1. Go to the Maintenance screen (tap the Back button on any screen and tap the
MAINTENANCE button on the Main Menu).
2. Tap SUPPLY TANK Fill on the Maintenance screen (Figure C.5).
Ignore the on-screen instructions that appear.
