To calibrate a microphone Octave Analysis (Option 1D1)
Octave measurements are available only with those Agilent 35670A analyzers that are
equipped with Option 1D1. Signals can be analyzed at frequencies up to 40 kHz in the
single-channel mode. This task measures the sound pressure level of the calibrator.
1 Initialize the analyzer.

Preset

DO PRESET
].
Press [
OCTAVE ANALYSIS
].
2 Connect the microphone input to the analyzers Channel 1 input as shown in the
illustration. Attach a calibrator to the microphone.
3 Configure the display.
Press [
Scale
],thenpress[
AUTOSCALE ON OFF
] to highlight ON.
4 Start the calibration.
Turn on the calibrator.
Press [
Start
].
