Board Orientation
An optional Board Orientation signal can be used to verify that:
• the orientation of the board is correct
• the board has stopped at the correct position for testing in Zone 2
This may be achieved by means of a laser beam perpendicular to the
board surface. The transmitter and receiver are aligned with a tooling hole
of a correctly positioned and oriented board.
As the board travels from Zone 1 to Zone 2, it is detected by the stopper
sensor. When the board reaches the board stopper, the system checks for
the board orientation signal; if it is detected, the Press is automatically
lowered.
