8.5.4 Boundary spreading with border spread deflector (optional)
If the first tramline is placed in the first working
path of the seed driller (for a 10 ft / 3 m seed
driller, the distance between the first tramline and
the field edge is 1.5 m), work with the left border
spread deflector as follows:
1. Actuate tractor control unit 1.
→ Close the left slider (Fig. 82/1).
2. Release the wing nuts (Fig. 82/2).
3. Swing the border spread deflector (Fig.
82/3) down from inoperative position to op-
erating position (Fig. 83).
4. Tighten the winged nut (Fig. 82/2).
5. Switch off the left agitator head (refer to on
page 95).
