You must read this!
Before starting registration, it's essential you learn which keys you must press in order
to respond to the various screen displays. (Once you learn this, you'll also know how to
use most of the other e-m@iler functions.)
For registration use the pull-out keyboard which slides out from under the
e-m@iler.
On many of the screen displays you will be asked to press a key. For example, the
display may ask you to Press [EMAIL] or Press [ENTER] to continue or
Press H etc. In these cases, simply follow the instructions on the screen.
On some screens there are different items to select. To move to
the item you want, watch the screen while using the arrow
keys L
v
R at the bottom right of the keyboard.
As you move around the display using
L
v
R, you will come across the following types
of item:
Highlighted text – as you move up or down to certain items, you will see the text
highlighted inside a solid block (for example lDNextl). When you move away
from the item, it becomes un-highlighted (for example lDNextl).
Blobbed items – as you move onto these items, the blob appears solid or
highlighted
. When you move away from the item, it becomes un-blobbed (for
example #).
When you want to select the item you've moved to, you press
the ENTER key at the right of the keyboard.
When you use
L
v
R to move into a text box, you are then expected to type some text
into the box. Note you will see a thin line
| within the box – this line is called the cursor
and it shows you where you're about to type.
When you are typing text into the boxes, you can delete any
mistakes using the !DEL key at the top right of the keyboard.
Note you can move the cursor left and right within the text using
keys
L and R.
To move up and down from box to box, use keys U and D.
