Ringtones
Instead of the standard ('ring ring') ringtone, the
e-m@iler can be set to play a tune
when the phone rings. To get the tune you want, you can download a ringtone into
your e-m@iler. You can download polyphonic ringtones from the latest Top Ten pop
charts or from other music categories.
And when you feel like a change, simply download a different ringtone and the new
one will replace the old one. (Note however that old ringtones remain stored in case
you wish to re-select them later.)
The cost of ringtones will be displayed on the screen before you start the
selection and download process.
IMPORTANT - PARENTAL WARNING
It is your responsibility to prevent children (or other unauthorised users)
downloading ringtones and incurring telephone charges that you are liable
to pay.
Ringtones do not have an expiry time. Once downloaded, they remain stored in your
e-m@iler until you delete them.
Note, if you subscribe to Caller Display, you can use ringtones to let you
know who's calling or who the call is for. This is achieved by allocating specific
ringtones to different 'ring groups'. Additionally, you can designate specific
ringtones to unknown callers, to callers from abroad and to callers who
withhold their number. You can even specify a ringtone to warn you of calls
that you don't want to answer! For information on allocating ringtones to ring
groups, see Advanced settings page 147.
