Installation
After unpacking the e-m@iler, please retain all packaging in case you ever
need to transport the unit or return it for repair.
Installation notes
NOTE - The e-m@iler is designed for installation in UK only.
The e-m@iler will cease to operate unless it remains
connected to a suitable telephone exchange.
Do not install the
e-m@iler in an excessively hot, cold, damp or dusty environment. The
e-m@iler is intended for indoor use only (operating temperature: 5°C – 40°C). Locate
the
e-m@iler close to both mains supply and telephone line sockets. For optimum
videophone picture quality, make sure the room is well lit, but do not position the
e-m@iler with its screen directly facing a sunlit window.
The mains supply adaptor provided with the e-m@iler must be used only on the
following mains supply:
MAC 230V ¶ 50HzM
(Note the mains supply adaptor is packed in a small box within the main carton.)
The
e-m@iler must not be exposed to dripping or splashing. Never place objects filled
with liquids (such as vases) close to the unit. If liquid is accidentally spilt or splashed on
the unit, disconnect the mains adaptor from the supply socket immediately and consult
your dealer.
No naked flame sources (such as lighted candles) should be placed on or near the
e-m@iler.

WARNING – If the
e-m@iler is subjected to a high voltage electrostatic
discharge, the unit may reset, as if just switched on. In these
circumstances any temporary information (for example, a partly
composed message) will be lost, as is the case after a power
interruption. Any stored messages and Address Book entries will not be
affected, however.
