37. On the MG3700A, turn on the RF output and use the knob to adjust power level to read the value of
PMA.10C on Sensor A refer to Table A-100).
38. Record the MG3700A power level setting (MG3700A.10) in Table A-101, “Power Level Settings
Component Characterization, Option 44” on page A-34.
39. On the MS2721B, press the Amplitude function hard key and then press the Adjust Range soft key.
40. Record the channel power reading in the "Measured Power" column of Table A-102, “WCDMA Absolute
Power Accuracy, Option 44” on page A-34.
41. Use the following formula to calculate the absolute power accuracy of the MS2721B at +10 dBm:
Error = Measured Power –10
42. Record the calculated value in the "Error" column of Table A-102, and verify that it is within
specification.
43. Turn off the RF output of the MG3700A.
44. Set the MN63A attenuator to 18 dB.
45. Calculate the value of the MG3700A setting (MG3700A.28) for +28 dBm Test Level by using Table A-100
and Table A-101 and the following formula:
MG3700A.28 = MG3700A.10 + ATT.18
46. Record the calculated value in Table A-101.
47. On the MG3700A, turn on the RF output and use the knob to adjust power level to the recorded
MG3700A.28 value in Table A-101.
48. On the MS2721B, press the Amplitude function hard key and then press the Adjust Range soft key.
49. Record the channel power reading in the "Measured Power" column of Table A-102.
50. Use the following formula to calculate the absolute power accuracy of the MS2721B at +28 dBm:
Error = Measured Power –28
51. Record the calculated value in the "Error" column of Table A-102, and verify that it is within
specification.
52. Turn off the RF output of the MG3700A.
53. Set the MN63A attenuator to 0 dB.
54. Set power level of the MG3700A to –38 dBm.
55. Calculate the value of the Sensor A reading (PMA–10) for –10 dBm Test Level by using the following
formula:
PMA-10 = PMA.10C – 20
56. Record the calculated value in Table A-101.
57. Turn on the RF output and use the knob to adjust power level to read the value of PMA–10 on Sensor A.
58. On the MS2721B, press the Amplitude key and then press the
Adjust Range soft key.
59. Record channel power reading in Table A-102.
60. Use the following formula to calculate the absolute power accuracy of the MS2721B at –10 dBm:
Error = Measured Power – (–10)
61. Record the calculated Error value in Table A-102, and verify that it is within specification.
62. Turn off the RF output of the MG3700A.
63. Set the MN63A attenuator to 0 dB.
64. Decrease power level of the MG3700A by 10 dB.
