Noise Floor Verification
The tests in this section verify the noise floor of the MS2721B in ISDB-T SFN Analyzer mode.
Required Equipment:
• 50 ohm termination, Anritsu Model 28N50-2
• Spectrum Master Model MS2721B
Procedure:
1. Set the mode of the MS2721B to ISDB-T SFN Analyzer and preset the unit.
2. Install a 50 ohm termination to the Spectrum Analyzer RF In connector.
3. Ensure that the Channel is set to 13 and Preamp is OFF.
4. Set the Reference Level to –25 dBm.
5. Record the Channel Power [dBm] as shown in the lower left corner of the display into Table A-73,
“ISDB-T SFN Analyzer Noise Floor Pre Amp OFF, Option 32” on page A-28.
6. Set Preamp to ON and change Reference Level to –50 dBm.
7. Record the Power [dBm] as shown in the lower left corner of the display into Table A-74, “ISDB-T SFN
Analyzer Noise Floor Pre Amp ON, Option 32” on page A-28
8. Change the channel to Channel 38, and set Preamp to OFF.
9. Repeat Step 4 through Step 7 for Channel 38.
10. Change the channel to Channel 62, set Preamp to OFF.
11. Repeat Step 4 through Step 7 for Channel 62.
