17. For an MS2721B with Option 40 (GSM/GPRS/EDGE RF Measurements), subtract the displayed Burst
Power value from the power meter reading in Step 14. Then record the calculated Burst Power error and
the displayed value of Freq Error in Table A-76, “At 850 MHz, –10 dBm Level, TCH Pattern, Option 40”
on page A-29.
18. For an MS2721B with Option 41 (GSM/GPRS/EDGE Demodulator), record the displayed Phase Err RMS
(deg) in Table A-84, “Phase Err RMS (Deg) at 850 MHz, –10 dBm Level, TCH Pattern, Option 41”
on page A-31.
19. Verify that the measured values in Step 17 and Step 18 are within specifications.
20. On the MG3700A, change the selected signal pattern to "GsmBurst_8slot".

22. For an MS2721B with Option 40 (GSM/GPRS/EDGE RF Measurements), subtract the displayed Burst
Power value from the power meter reading in Step 21. Then record the calculated Burst Power error and
the displayed value of Freq Error in Table A-77, “At 850 MHz, –50 dBm Level, TCH ALL Pattern,
Option 40” on page A-29.
23. For an MS2721B with Option 41 (GSM/GPRS/EDGE Demodulator), record the displayed Phase Err RMS
(deg) in Table A-85, “Phase Err RMS (Deg) at 850 MHz, –50 dBm Level, TCH ALL Pattern, Option 41”
on page A-31.
24. Verify that the measured values in Step 22 and Step 23 are within specifications.
25. Change the frequency of the MG3700A to 1800 MHz.
