9. Press the F6 soft key, labeled Return.
10. Press the Set key.
11. Using the Down Arrow key, step through the selection list until the Digital_Broadcast option is
highlighted.
12. Press the Set key.
13. Using the Down Arrow key, step through the selection list until the ISDB-T_1layer_1ch option is
highlighted.
14. Press the Set key.
15. Set the Frequency to 473.14285714 MHz.
16. Set the Level to –20 dBm.
17. Ensure that the Mod On/Off key and the Output key both have an illuminated LED.
18. Set the mode of the MS2721B to ISDB-T Signal Analyzer.
19. Press the Shift key, press the Preset (1) key, and then press the Preset soft key to reset the unit.
20. Ensure that Channel is set to 13.
21. Press the Meas Selection function hard key, then press Modulation Analysis.
22. Send the MG3700A signal into the Spectrum Analyzer RF In connector of the MS2721B.
23. On the MS2721B, press the Frequency/Level function hard key, and set the Reference Level to –20 dBm.
24. Press the Meas Setup function hard key and then the Meas Mode soft key.
25. Use the rotary knob to highlight Average and then press the Enter key.
26. Set the Average Count to 10.
27. Wait until the Average (10/10) appears at the top of the display.
28. Record the Frequency Error as shown on the MS2721B display into Table A-43, “ISDB-T Signal Analyzer
Frequency Accuracy, Option 30” on page A-15 in the “Pre Amp Off Frequency Error” column and the
Channel 13 row.
29. Record the Total MER (Modulation Error Ratio) as shown on the MS2721B display into Table A-44,
“ISDB-T Signal Analyzer Residual MER, Option 30” on page A-15 in the “Total MER Pre Amp Off”
column and the Channel 13 row.
30. Press the Frequency/Level function hard key and set the MS2721B to Channel 38.
31. Set the frequency of the MG3700A to 623.14285714 MHz.
32. Press the Execute Measure function hard key.
33. Wait until the Average (10/10) appears at the top of the display.
34. Record the Frequency Error as shown on the MS2721B display into Table A-43 in the “Pre Amp Off
Frequency Error” column and the Channel 38 row.
35. Record the Total MER as shown on the MS2721B display into Table A-44 in the “Total MER Pre Amp
Off” column and the Channel 38 row.
36. Set the MS2721B to Channel 62.
37. Set the frequency of the MG3700A to 767.14285714 MHz.
38. Press the Execute Measure function hard key.
39. Wait until the Average (10/10) appears at the top of the display.
40. Record the Frequency Error as shown on the MS2721B display into Table A-43 in the “Pre Amp Off
Frequency Error” column and the Channel 62 row.
41. Record the Total MER as shown on the MS2721B display into Table A-44 in the Total MER Pre Amp Off
column and the Channel 62 row.
