2 Type command and press Enter to open a MS-DOS Command Line window.
3 Type arp -d 192.11.13.6 and press Enter to clear the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) cache in
the laptop. This command responds with one of the following:
The command line prompt when the cache has been cleared.
The phrase: The specified entry was not found.
This is returned when the specified IP address does not currently appear in the ARP cache.
Connect to the active media server
1 Connect the laptop to the services port (2) on the back of the active media server using a
crossconnect CAT5 cable. See Figure 23, Services laptop computer connected directly to the
S8700 Media Server, on page 144.
