Customize the Active Media Server

Input translations
Contact the installation personnel responsible for translation input to download translations.
The following administration uses the services laptop computer connected to the active media
server and uses a terminal emulation application.
1 Type save translations and press Enter to save the translations to the hard drive.
If the translations are not ready, you may continue with the process, entering minimal
translations to verify connectivity to the port networks.
Reset media server
NOTE:
Do not reset the media server if no translations were input or if they were not entered in
bulk.
The following administration uses the services laptop computer connected to the active media
server and uses an terminal emulation application.
1 Type reset system 4 and press Enter to have the call processing software read the copied
translations.
Add media gateways
NOTE:
Do this procedure only if the translations were not input earlier.
The following administration uses the services laptop computer connected to the active media
server and uses a terminal emulation application.
NOTE:
A cabinet may be either an MCC1 media gateway or an SCC1 Media Gateway.
1 Type add cabinet number (1 through 64) and press Enter for each media gateway.
