F-FEM-DDC Users Guide
1.5 Purpose and Scope of this Documentation
Target group
This documentation addresses commissioning engineers, test bed operators
and system administrators.
The F-FEM-DDC manual supports you in planning and installation as well in
your daily work at the test bed.
Requirements
It assumes that you are familiar with:
basic knowledge of electro engineering
understanding of the structure and operation of the test bed
basic knowledge of control technology
characteristics of various sensors and actuators
basic knowledge in the PUMA open system
Contents & Scope
This manual documents the I/O components when using the F-FEM-DDC in a
test bed system and describes the hardware:
Connector pin out,
Mechanical and electrical requirements
Connectable Sensor types
Naming
The Module name F-FEM-DDC is coming from its I/O combination:
F: Fast
FEM: Front End Module
D: DAC (analog output) channels
D: DIO (digital input and output) channels
C: Counter functions (with digital inputs).
