CSA Counter Signal Adapter
DCB Digital I/O Connection Box
IEEE1394 High speed bus for linking F-FEM modules. Baud rates of 100, 200 or 400 Mbps
are possible. IEEE1394 supports the time synchronism of a distributed system
by using an isochronous protocol.
I/O Abbreviation for Input and Output
JTAG Joint Test Action Group:
Test method for the checking the production quality and possibilities for commis-
sioning and debugging. IEEE1149.1 standard describes JTAG.
PAM Abbreviation for "PArameter Manager"
PUMA Automation system for engine test beds and measuring intrumentations. Abbre-
viation for "Prüfstands- und Messtechnik-Automatisierungssystem"; AVL's auto-
mation platform.
Repeater Amplifier and pulse shaper for the extension of lines which carry digital signals. A
repeater acts like an IEEE1394 node.
