Symbols Used
NOTE: The following symbols may appear within the documentation or on the appliance.
Caution
This symbol is intended to alert the user to the presence of
important operating and maintenance (servicing) instruc-
tions in the literature accompanying the appliance.
Dangerous Voltage
This symbol is intended to alert the user to the presence of
uninsulated dangerous voltage within the product’s enclo-
sure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk
of electric shock to persons.
Protective Grounding Terminal
This symbol indicates a terminal which must be connected
to earth ground prior to making any other connections to
the equipment.
Functional Grounding Terminal
This symbol indicates a terminal which is connected to the
chassis ground equal potential.
Alternating current or voltage.
Three-phase Alternating current or voltage.
This Marking is used to indicate that the equipment is
compliant with the European Standards about Safety,
Electro-Magnetic Compatibility and The RoHS - Restriction
of Hazardous Substance (no SVHCs) - Directives
The IEC standards used open the principle of mutual
recognition in order to eliminate technical barriers to the
free movement of goods.
Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
This Marking is used to indicate that these Electrical and
Electronic Equipment should be collected when arrival at
their end of live.
