SmartControl™ Meter & TouchPoint™ 45 9E-926
Operation Instructions
3.4 Touch Screen - Optional
The use of an optional Touch Screen with the TouchPoint Milk-
ing System allows additional information to be displayed and/
or recalled in the milking parlor.
When the Touch Screen is placed at the parlor entrance it can
be seen by the milkers to help identify problems in the parlor.
The owner or herdsman can also easily see the status of the
milking parlor without walking in the parlor and disturbing the
milker’s routine.
Some types of data it can display by stall number include:
cow number, milk production, expected milk production and
“alerts” (such as low or high milk production).
In addition to the milking status of cows in the parlor some
“cow actions” can also be performed using the Touch Screen.
These include assigning or changing lot number assignments,
requesting a cow to be sorted and assigning attention codes.
When the meters are being washed the wash information
(number of lls and ow rates etc.) can be displayed.
For additional user information see the User Instructions for
the Touch Screen (9E-938).
