4.7.4 The VB252 COFDM Dual Demodulator Module (VB220 Option)
The VB252 COFDM demodulator is an optional input interface module. It supports DVB-
T and DVB-T2. It has two RF inputs; one or two of these are enabled according to probe
licensing.
The connectors are:
RF IN: RF input – 75 ohm F-connector
1PPS IN: 1PPS reference clock input - 50 ohm BNC female
GPI: Alarm relay output – 9 PIN D-sub male
GPI – Pinout of alarm relay output (to be implemented)
Normal operation Alarm/Power off
Pins 6-7: Contacts closed Pins 6-7: No connection
Pins 7-8: No connection Pins 7-8: Contacts closed
Pin 5: Gnd Pin 5: Gnd
An LED indicates whether the demodulator locks to the incoming RF signal or not.
Note that the 1PPS signal from the mid-slot is used as reference for all COFDM input
signals if the chassis is equipped with two VB252 interface modules.
