SERVICING
Ignition Coil Removal
Remove spark plug lead from ignition coil.
Disconnect ignition coil electrical connector.
Remove two ignition coil retaining screws.
Do not lose the rubber washers between coil and
bracket.
Ignition Coil Bracket Removal
Remove spark plug lead ground screw.
Remove injector screws and bracket.
IMPORTANT: All injectors must be installed in
the correct cylinder by serial number. If removed,
mark fuel injectors to show cylinder locations.
Ignition Coil Bracket Installation
Install injector screws through bracket.
Refer to Fuel Injector Service on p. 150 for
proper injector installation procedure.
Install spark plug leads with ground screw. Tighten
screw securely.
Ignition Coil Installation
Install one rubber washer on each screw. Install
screw through ignition coil.
Install remaining rubber washers on screws
between coil and bracket.
Install coil with washers on bracket.
Tighten screws to a torque of 60 to 84 in. lb. (7 to
9.5 N·m).
Install spark plug lead on ignition coil.
Connect ignition coil electrical connector.
