SECTION 27 - REAR AXLE 73
Once the ring nut washer has been removed, ex-
tract the pinion (1) from its housing by hitting it with
a hammer made of soft material on the splined end.
Remove the washer (6), the spacer (5) and the
shims (4) from the pinion (1).
Remove the bearing (3) from the pinion (1) using an
extractor.
Remove the shim (2) located under the bearing and
check its wear conditions.
Remove the bearing cup (7) from the central body.
