OPERATION & MAINTENANCE MANUAL STE35SR
Starting Engine in Cold Weather
Start the engine only after sitting down in the operator's seat.
Do not attempt to start the engine by short-circuiting the engine starting circuit. Such an act
may cause a serious bodily injury or fire.
Check that there are no persons or obstacles in the surrounding area, then sound the horn
and start the engine.
Never use starter aids to start the engine, as they can cause an explosion.
Exhaust gas is toxic. When starting the engine in confined spaces, be particularly careful to
ensure good ventilation.
IMPORTANCE
Do not crank the starting motor continuously for more than 20 seconds. If the engine does not start,
wait for at least 2 minutes before trying again.
When starting in low temperatures, do as follows (Machine with warm-up function performs this
operation).
1. To ensure the safety lock handle in the
locked position if the safety lock lever is not in
the locked position, don't start the engine.
2. Keep the start switch key at the HEAT (preheat) position, the preheating time does not
exceed 15s, and it will automatically cut off preheating if it exceeds 15s. After preheating,
release the key immediately and it will automatically return to the OFF position.
3. Turn the key in starting switch to the START
position to start the engine.
4. After the engine starts, release the key in starting switch. The key will automatically return to
the ON position.
