1. When traveling down steep hills, use the travel
lever and fuel control dial to keep the travel
speed low. When traveling down a steep hill of
more than 15°, set the work equipment to the
posture shown in the diagram on the right and
lower the engine speed.

Traveling Downhill
Put the travel lever in the middle position. This will
cause the brake to be automatically applied.
Engine Stopped on Slope
If the engine stops when traveling uphill, move the travel levers to the middle position, lower the
bucket to the ground, stop the machine, then start the engine again.
Notes on Slopes
Even if the engine is turned off on a slope, if the left
working device joystick is used for turning
operations, the upper turning platform will turn due
to its own weight. Therefore, turning operations
must not be performed.
