Figure A-15. ARINC Output Data (DME look-alike bus) (Sheet 2 of 2)
ARINC 429 Output Notes (applicable to all ARINC 429 output data busses):
(a) Transmit intervals in ms ±20% or ±20ms whichever is greater.
(b) Output rate per satellite is once per second for a maximum of 12 satellite measurement blocks.
(c) Always Positive
(d) Fine data words contain the truncated portion of the original data word. This information is unsigned
although the sign bit is reserved. The two labels are concatenated (or added) in the receiving device.
(e) The label number and its presence (removed by assigning a label number of 0) is configurable by the
APD.
(f) To achieve the 50 ± 20 msec transmit interval, the previously transmitted deviation values are encoded
on alternate labels since the navigation solution is available at 10 Hz.
(g) A measurement block is defined as the following consecutive set of labels:
• Measurement Status label 060 (always first)
• Measurement & Satellite position labels 061, 062, 063, 064, 065, 066, 070, 071, 072, 073, 054*, 055*,
056*, and 057*
• Measurement Time label 074 (always last)
* The label number and its presence are configurable by the APD.
(h) A navigation block is defined as the following consecutive set of labels in the order listed:
• Sensor Status label 273
• Position, velocity & integrity labels 076, 370

, 165, 166, 174, and 247
• Time labels 260, 125, 150, 140 and 141
* The label number and its presence are configurable by the APD

The navigation block on the GPS bus is the same as for the GLS bus except that labels 142 and 145
are not present and the presence of label 370 is determined by the GPS Height Output on GPS bus
APD.
(i) Bit 11 of label 130 is assigned as the RAIM detection bit.
(j) See Appendix C for specific label format definitions.
(k) Output only in Data Load mode when the source is ARINC 429, refer to ARINC 615 for bit definition
