THIS FLOOR PLATE MUST BE INSERTED INTO THE
BOTTOM OF THE FRAME TUBES OF THESE TWO
PANELS BEFORE POSITIONING THE PANELS.
b) In a pitted application, an enclosure pit frame has been provided (usually in 2 or 3
segments, depending on the application) to support the semi-enclosure at its base.
The vertical wall stiffener channels shown must be installed. Figure # 22 illustrates
all channels.
THE “SE” ENCLOSURE MUST BE RIGID FOR PROPER
OPERATION.
c) In a semi-pitted application (unit in pit, semi-enclosure not in pit), the lower landing
gate is equipped with a sill angle to ensure enough support of both hinge and strike
posts. The sill angle is equipped with holes for mounting to the floor. In addition, a
furring channel is provided to close the gap between the pit wall and the platform.
Install enough anchors into the pit wall. Install the channel.
5) Panel C1 should be either:
a) already in position, as described in (4a),
OR
b) ready to be installed as described in (4b & 4c).
Mount panel C1 using the hardware provided, as shown in Figure # 21, ensuring proper level and
plumb clearances.
6) Fasten panel “D1” to panels “A2” and “C1”.
NOTE
If the unit is equipped with a fascia panel (rather than a third wall), panel C1 should be
mounted to the upper landing support wall, using the mounting angle provided.
7) Proceed to wire the lower landing gate and hall call, as per the "ELECTRICAL
CONNECTIONS" section of this manual.
8) Thoroughly check the lower landing gate and hall call functions for proper operation.
9) The platform gate on the carriage and the lower landing gate are designed to “mesh” with
each other when the carriage is at the lower landing. The track mechanism and the roller
nstallation drawing dimensions. During
mechanism must align properly. Alignment depends upon a rigid, square, and plumb
enclosure and upon closely following the i
installation to prevent damage, remove the track mechanism on the carriage gate until the
limits have been set at the lower landing. The lift must form proper meshing of roller and
track and the lift must stop accurately.
