HEAT EXCHANGER
The heat exchanger is unique to this
furnace model. Several 1-3/4"
aluminized steel "L" tubes conduct
the hot combustion gases to a
transition box. Several "S" tubes
conduct the combustion gases from
the transition box to the collector box.
The "S" tubes are 3/4" in diameter
and made of aluminized steel. The
collector box directs the combustion
gases into the induced draft fan and
the vent. The transition box front is
made of highly corrosion-resistant 11
CRCB stainless steel. The rest of the
heat exchanger is aluminized steel.
Both sets of tubes permanently
connect to the collector and transition
boxes using swaged joints. Collector
box and transition box flanges are
crimped for a tight fit.

INSHOT BURNER ASSEMBLY
Each furnace uses a burner
assembly consisting of two to six
inshot burners. They are made of
aluminized steel with integral
precision main and crossover porting
to provide flame retention, proper
carryover and burner stability. There
are no primary or secondary air
adjustments. Each burner tube fires
at 22,500 or 25,000 BTUH input at
the rated manifold gas pressure.
Furnace inputs vary from 45,000
BTUH to 150,000 BTUH.

INDUCED DRAFT BLOWER
MOTOR (IDM)
All models use an induced draft
blower motor (IDM) to pull
combustion gases through the heat
exchanger. It has ball bearings and is
permanently lubricated. The blower
withstands 500°F temperatures, is
very quiet and uses heat sinks and
fans to keep bearings cool.
A patented pilot gas bypass system is
engineered into the IDM housing.
This allows a standing pilot flame to
vent its products of combustion
during the furnace off cycle and
prevents moisture condensation in
the combustion chamber.
