4.6 PTZ Control
Note
Make sure the PTZ camera and the DVR network connection is OK and the
corresponding settings are right.
Slight difference may be found on the user interface.
4.6.1 PTZ Settings
Step 1 Set PTZ camera address.
Step 2 Connect DVR and PTZ camera.
Connect the dome RS485 port to DVR RS485 port.
Connect dome video output cable to DVR video input port.
Connect power adapter to the dome.
Step 3 In the main menu, from Setting->System->PTZ.
Enter PTZ interface. See Figure 4-70.
Channel: Select PTZ camera connected channel number.
PTZ type: There are two options: local/remote. Please select remote if you are
connecting to the network PTZ camera.
Control mode: You can select control mode from the dropdown list. There are two
options: Serial/HDCVI. For HDCVI series product, please select HDCVI. The control
signal is sent to the PTZ via the coaxial cable. For the serial mode, the control signal
is sent to the PTZ via the RS485 port.
Protocol: Select PTZ camera protocol such as PELCOD.
Address: Input corresponding PTZ address. The default setup is 1.
Note
Make sure the input address is the as the PTZ camera. Otherwise, you cannot control
the camera.
Baud rate: Select baud rate. The default setup is 9600.
Data bit: Select data bit. The default setup is 8.
Stop bit: Select stop bit. The default setup is 1.
Parity: Select parity. The default setup is None.
