DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING THE
RADIAL PIN CLUTCH (TORQUE LIMITER)
WARNING: Always wear safety goggles.
NOTE: To ensure a thorough cleaning of the torque lim-
iter, remove excess grease and check condition
of internal parts.
NOTE: Do not unbolt the sheave when disassembling
the torque limiter. Leave it in place.
1. Remove the retaining ring (item 7), the shoulder ring
(item 8) and the sealing ring (item 2).

2. Use a 5” (13cm) dia. metal tube, 8” (20cm) long, and
x it to a metal plate. This will stabilize the assembly.

3. Insert a 5/16” by 3” long hex head bolt in the hub
hole and secure it with a nut.

4. Place the assembly on the tube and, using a 1”
(2.5cm) dia shaft, push the hub out of the clutch
housing (item 14).
