balls
gathered
in
the
bearing
must
be
lubricat
ed with
grea-
se. Tig
ht
en the
bearing
nut
in

way
as

ensure

fork
turns
freely in
the
bearings
without
se
izing
and
any
noti
ceable
pla
y
(
light
en
th
e
nut
home
and
then
slacken
it
back
by
1
/
3
to
1
/a
turn).

SUSPENSION
To
remo
ve
the
rear
suspension
of
the
motorcy
cle,
proceed
as
fol-
lows.

motorcycle

remove
the
rear
wh
eel

remov
e
th
e
main
driv
e (refer
to
Secti
on
7);
take
dow
n the s
pring-and-hydraulic
shock
absorbers,
un

crew
their l
owe
r
and
upper
fast
e
ning
s;
remove
the
rear
fender,
taking
care
not
to
br
e
ak
th
e
wires
l
ea
d-
ing
to
th
e
reJr
lamp;
unscrew
the
bolts
sccunng
the
lever
of
rear
wheel
suspension,
lake
oul
the
deta
chable
journal,
remove
the
suspension
l
ever
from
the
frame
.
Re-in
st
all
the
rear
suspension
in
rev
e
rse
order.
When
installing
the suspension le
ve
r,
tighten
the
bolts
securing
th
e
silent-blocks
with
!he
suspension
lever in
th
e
middle
of
its
travel
(the
suspension
lev
-
u s
must
be
arranged
parallel
to
the
frame
lower
tubes)
.

REMOVAL

INSTALLATION
OF
ELECTRICAL
SYSTEM DEVICES
To
remove
the s

batter
y,
proceed
as
follows:
shift
the
prot
ective
caps
off
the
wir
es
connected
to the
bat
ter
y
output
termin
als. To
avoid
short-circuiting,
first
disconn
ect
the
wire
leading
to
"ea
rth",

wire
extending
to
the
current-and-volt-

regulator;

storage
batt

take
down the
battery.
Remove
the
storage
batt

ry
from
the
frame
by
tilt
ing
its

er
portion
forward,

batt
ery

the g-enerator, do
