Replace

The
bevel
gears
shou

replaced

as
made
up
by
the
Manufacturer
.
To r
emove
the
radia

bearing
from
the
driving
beve
l
gear,
usc
an
appliance
TIP-1363.
In
order
to
pre
ss
out
the
ou.ter
race
of
the
needle
bearing
from
the
cas
ing, heat
the
!alt
er
up to
75-9
0°C
and,
using
a lift
er
TIP-136
1,
remove
the
bearing
race.
To
pre
ss
out
the
casing
bushing
which
is used
as
a n
outer
race
of
the
roller
bearing
of
the
driven
gea
r hub, fir
st
h
eat
the
cas
ing
up
to
75-90°C.
After
repairing
a
nd
assembling
the
m
ain
drive, in
case
replace-
ment
of
th
e
gea
rs
has
b
een
car
ried out, check
the
backlash
in
the
gearing.
The
back
l
ash
is
set
by
placing
ad
ju
s
ting
washers
between
the
ball be
ar
ing
of
driven
gear
hub
and
the
cas
ing
cover.

Prior
to r
epa
iring
the
removed
wheel,
check
the
fo

lowing:
wear
of
the
lyre
(signs
of
damage
on
it);
absence
of cracks
and
dent
s on
the
rim;
wear
of
the
brake
drum
s
urface;
condition
of
the
tape
r
ed
roller
bearings;
r
adia
l
and
l
ate
ral ru
n-out
of the rim a
nclt
yr
e;
avai
l
abi
lity of
th
e spok
es
and
their
uniform
tensionin g.
The wheel

ring

cked for
good
cond
iti
on
by
ro
tat
-
ing
the
tightened
axle
and
rock in g it in lhe wheel
ra
ther than by
rotating
and
rocking
the
wheel
on the axle, sin ce in
the
latter
case
th
e
overtightening
of
th
e
bearing·s
may
not
be
noticed
owin g to
th
e
great
ma
ss
of
the
wheel.
The
axle
must
rot
ate
freely,
without
an
y notic
eable
pl
ay
anrl
seizi
ng,
pr
oducing no c
li
cks, et
c.
The
following

remove
the
tyre
from
the
wheel,

the
valve

tyre

ing out the
valve
core;

nut

ring
the
removabl
e
valve
to
the
rim
a
nd
pu
sh
the
va lve inside

e tyre;

ce
the
wheel
with
th
e
brake
drum
down
and
pr
ess
out
the
tyre
sides
so
as
to make
them
sepa
rate from
the
sid
es
of
the
rim;
at
a
point
approximate
ly
1
/4
of
the
circ
um
ference
from
the
tube
