Following that, check the va lve sea ting for air-tig h tness, for
w hi ch purpose fit the va l ves in place and pour kerosene in the inl et
and ex h aust p orts (channels) of the cyli nd er h ead . The k erosene
must not leak out within 30 s. If the kerosene starts to leak out be-
fore this period of time has el apsed, an add it ional lapping is re _-
quired.
