install the reverse gear with the fork on the seco ndar y s haf t and,
:1t the sa me time, insert the upper e nd of the reverse l eve r into the
fo rk slot;
shift lhe fork and r everse gear to the end fro nt positi on;
fit th e r ea r ·w as her a nd bearing No. 304 on the secon d ary sh aft;
place a pape rb oa rd gas ket on the parting· plane of the casi n g-;
using an appliance ]\3·

Installation of the Cover
The cover musl be re-a sse mbled befor e installation. In order to
in sta ll the cover, proceed as follow s:
install lh e cas ing assembled with the s haft s and gearshift mecha-
nism in such a way that th e front fl a nge of the cas ing is turned
downwards and lhe axes of the shafts are aligned vertica ll y;
se t the cover in such a manner that the roll er of the inn er l ever,
filled on the cover, is lo cate d on the sh aped surface of th e crank of
the gear s hift mechani sm ;
lightl y tapping with a so ft metal hammer, press the cove r on the
sha
fts so that the lo cking pins, pressed in to the cover, can ente r th e
ap
propriate openings in th e cas ing;
secure the cover on lhe cas ing w ith nin e bolts.
Final Steps in Assembling the Gear Box
Install the front bushing of the starting- mech anis m sh af t with
the rubb er ring, from th e side of lhe cas ing front fla ng e, ca t ch th e
sh
af t pin and, by means of the e nd fac e lugs of the bu shin g- , catch
lhe was her of the start ing mec hani sm spring-;
