Introduction
The machine
The Dynapac CA3500DCP is a soil compactor that is
factory-prepped and adapted for use with external
auxiliary equipment in the form of vibrating compaction
plates.
The compatible compaction plates are Stehr SBV
80HC3 with accompanying side shift adjustment
equipment in a low-profile design. No other variants
are permitted.
As a general rule, all work must be carried out by
trained personnel who are familiar with how the
machine functions during compaction work as well as
during loading, unloading and other handling.
Intended use
All types of base course and subbase course can be
compacted by machine without the use of compaction
plates.
When using compaction plates:
The compaction plates are suitable for surface
compaction of friction soils (silty sand, sand and
gravel). Best results are achieved on single-grade
natural materials. Compaction of material with a
particle size in excess of 63mm, such as blasted rock
and the like, should be avoided.
The machine’s speed should not exceed approx.
1km/h when compacting with plates. Compaction
should be carried out with the machine moving forward
in a single pass. The roller should be operated with a
high vibration amplitude when the layer thickness
allows. The already compacted area must not be left
untouched by the roller, as this eliminates the benefits
achieved using the plates.
The cab and safety-related accessories are described
in this manual. Other accessories, such as
tachographs, "Optimizer" (DCO) and "Dyn@lyzer" are
described in separate instructions.
Training
The purpose of operator training is to impart the
operator the knowledge and skills necessary for
proper operation and routine maintenance of the roller
according to this manual.
Note to trainer: Further information on operator training can be
found in ISO 7130.
